Terms
Terms of Use
Rules for using newsflux.pro and NewsFlux journalism. Governed by Singapore law. Last updated: 14 July 2026.
1. Agreement to these terms
By accessing newsflux.pro ("the Site"), you agree to these Terms of Use with NewsFlux Media Pte. Ltd. (UEN 202611482D), a company incorporated in Singapore with its newsroom at 70 Circular Road, #03-01, Singapore 049424. If you disagree, please do not use the Site.
These terms apply to all visitors, readers, tipsters and optional members. Additional terms may apply to paid membership (SGD billing).
2. Who we are — and what "Flux" means
NewsFlux is an independent digital news publication for Singapore and APAC. The .pro domain is branding only. "Flux" refers to the continuous flow of the day's news — rolling coverage from an always-on live desk — not flux in physics or chemistry, not soldering flux, not an energy brand, not React Flux, and not a data-pipeline or analytics query tool (such as InfluxDB Flux language).
We publish our own journalism. We are not a PR wire. You cannot pay NewsFlux to publish a news article. Advertising and sponsored content are labelled and kept separate from editorial work.
3. Nature of content — not professional advice
Articles, explainers, newsletters and headlines are general information and journalism. They are not financial, legal, medical, tax or investment advice. Opinion pieces reflect named authors' views, not necessarily the newsroom's institutional position.
Reporting reflects information available at publication and may be updated as stories develop. We aim for accuracy but do not warrant completeness or uninterrupted availability.
4. Editorial standards and independence
NewsFlux is an independent digital news publication. We aim to report accurately, fairly and independently; to distinguish clearly between news, analysis, opinion and any sponsored content; and to correct significant errors promptly. Advertising and membership revenue do not buy favourable coverage.
Reporters do not accept payments from subjects for coverage. Gifts above a nominal value are declined or disclosed. Freelancers and stringers are held to the same standards as staff writers.
5. Corrections policy
Material errors are corrected promptly with a clear note on the article where appropriate. To request a correction, use our contact form (correction request) or email [email protected] with the article URL, the inaccuracy and supporting evidence. We do not unpublish legitimate reporting solely because a subject dislikes coverage, but we will correct verifiable factual mistakes.
6. Intellectual property
Unless otherwise credited, the NewsFlux name, logo, design, photographs, graphics and article text are owned by NewsFlux Media Pte. Ltd. or used under licence. You may share links and quote brief excerpts with attribution for non-commercial purposes. Republication, systematic scraping, framing or commercial reuse requires written permission.
Third-party trademarks and images remain the property of their owners. Your misuse of our IP may result in legal action under Singapore law.
7. User submissions, tips and comments
When you submit a tip, comment or message, you grant us a non-exclusive licence to use that material for editorial and operational purposes. You represent that you have the right to share it. We may moderate or remove comments that violate acceptable use.
Tips are evaluated on newsworthiness and verifiability. Sending a tip does not create a contract to publish. We may contact you for clarification. Confidentiality requests are taken seriously but cannot always be guaranteed — discuss with editors before sharing sensitive documents.
Acceptable use — you must not post or send content that:
- Is defamatory, harassing, hateful or threatening;
- Incites violence or discrimination;
- Contains malware, spam or deceptive impersonation;
- Infringes copyright or privacy rights;
- Seeks paid news placement disguised as a tip;
- Promotes illegal activity, betting schemes or dangerous health claims.
We may suspend access, remove content and cooperate with authorities where required.
8. Membership and payments
Optional membership (from S$8/month in SGD) is governed by checkout terms presented at purchase. Fees are non-refundable except where required by Singapore consumer law. We may change pricing with notice to active members.
9. Third-party links and ads
The Site may link to external sources or display third-party advertisements. We do not control third-party sites and are not responsible for their content or data practices. Sponsored links are labelled.
Reference to a company, product or service in editorial coverage is journalistic — not an endorsement. Ad placements are commercially negotiated but do not dictate story selection.
10. Disclaimer of warranties
The Site is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent permitted by Singapore law, we disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service.
Live-flow pages may refresh frequently; timestamps show when material was last updated. Technical delays, source embargoes or breaking news may mean brief gaps between events and publication.
11. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, NewsFlux Media Pte. Ltd. and its directors, employees and contributors are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from use of the Site or reliance on its content. Our aggregate liability for direct damages shall not exceed S$100 or the amount you paid us in the prior twelve months, whichever is higher.
12. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify NewsFlux against claims arising from your breach of these terms or misuse of the Site, including unlawful submissions or comments.
Indemnity applies only to the extent permitted by Singapore law and does not require you to cover losses caused solely by our own negligence or bad faith.
13. Privacy and cookies
Personal data is handled under our Privacy Policy (PDPA) and Cookie Policy. Contact forms require explicit consent. Newsletter subscribers may unsubscribe via the link in each email.
14. Governing law and jurisdiction
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Singapore. You submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Singapore courts, subject to any mandatory consumer protections.
Nothing in these terms limits rights you may have under mandatory Singapore consumer protection laws that cannot be contracted away.
15. Changes
We may revise these terms. The "Last updated" date will change accordingly. Material changes will be noted on the Site. Continued use constitutes acceptance where permitted.
16. Contact
NewsFlux Media Pte. Ltd., 70 Circular Road, #03-01, Singapore 049424. Email: [email protected]. Phone: +65 6231 5170.
17. Severability
If any provision of these terms is held invalid under Singapore law, the remaining provisions continue in full force. The invalid provision will be replaced with a valid one that closest reflects the original intent.
18. Entire agreement
These terms, together with the Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and NewsFlux regarding use of the Site, superseding prior understandings on the same subject.
19. Language
These terms are written in English. Translations may be provided for convenience; the English version prevails in case of conflict.
20. Assignment
You may not assign your rights under these terms without our consent. We may assign our rights to an affiliate or successor in connection with a reorganisation, merger or sale of assets, with notice on the Site where practicable.
21. Survival
Provisions that by their nature should survive termination — including intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnity and governing law — remain in effect after you stop using the Site.
